wow. will need to reread this one. Looks good anyway.
It's pretty in depth.
One thing, in Crime and Punishment, Raskolnikov kills himself because he is not pure evil. Thus your delineation is a bit flawed.

This article provides an excellent explanation of protein synthesis and night time catabolism coupled with ways to prevent it. The ways are generally known, but the explanation makes this article particularly worth reading.
A+++

8 hours overrated
this article was a great read. even though you don't recommend milk, it seems that it would complement the idea of a glass of milk helping you sleep better. i think current research suggests the calcium is what causes this and now they're suggesting it supports fat loss too! as to sleep patterns being interrupted, again i don't know all the research, but i think this idea may be a bit overrated. in our infant years we do more growing than at any other time in our lives, and yet babys sleep in smaller more frequent increments with feedings about every four hours. maybe if we go to bed with a glass of milk, and then wake up four hours later for another glass of milk that would provide the type of peaks and subsequent leveling you refer to in the article, and as long as you go right back to sleep for another 4 hours you still get the rest and repair you need? it seems safe to suggest that the milk would help you fall asleep faster, keep you anabolic and help you burn fat all at the same time. just ideas.

Nice article John. I actually learned something. I did not know that "Milk protein is composed of 80% casein and 20% whey," this info is helpful, thanks.
I like the fact that you have solid percentages.

I like the fact that you have solid percentages. I knew that milk was mostly casein, but not the exact percent.
