Peter Knopfler - A Challenging View Point!
The message for the millennium is self responsibility. Health is literally a product of balance, a mental, a physical and a spiritual. The mind must be stimulated, the body nurtured and the spirit enlightened. Life is showing you who you are and what you are thinking. Life is the mirror for you to see you.

...the worst
This is one of the most poorly written articles I have ever read on BB.com. And believe me, I have read some stinkers. Opinions and commentary notwithstanding, the structure and punctuation (?) were atrocious. ... a poor attempt at ostentatious rhetoric.

the article fails to give any references to peer reviewed studies, so i just think its all crap, although it is being discussed how milk is not that good for you, but this article completely fails to give the reader some insight to it.

More simply: The article was so bad b/c of the way it was written. Poor grammar coupled with self-serving, arrogant, conspiracy theorizing and incoherent rambling is a sure recipe for an awful article and, consequently, reviews that reflect such.
Lucubration: Re your comment about me: Do you know me from somewhere, or does my reputation simply precede me?

Well, I thought about it. I didn't think much about it. Meat, milk, and wheat are unhealthy. I quess I should go back to beer, chips, and no exercise. Maybe I'll eat more than what I need to as well. His last few lines states that eating these things will make me sad and confused. I was okay until I read the article but I think this writer is the one who is sad and confused. This article was the biggest waste of time I can think of his and mine.
His motto is "getting better with age", at what? Likely being sad and confused. The challenging point of view was labelled wrong. It should have said his point of view is challenged. The saying that nature abhores a vacuum is correct in that this article sucks.
If this is the state of mind you get into from not eating meat, milk and wheat. Then I'm going to take in more than I ever have. I don't want to end up like this dude. Sad.

I suppose if meat was so horrible for us, then how come over 100,000 years of evolution, human's ingested up to 80% of their calories from animal sources. I agree that today's processed and overly fatty meat isn't the best thing to eat, but lean sources of meat provide numerous nutrients essential to human survival. I think he listened to someone he shouldn't have.

HMMMMM interesting. But highly improbable. I do know with certain individuals , they will find it hard to digest Milk, but for the most part the proteins is assimilated into the human body rather well.
I am assuming this person is vegetarian? I mean who else would write such rubbish?
First off meats have been eaten for thousands of years. We have teeth and a digestive system designed to handle and process this food. we are a meat eating people!
Secondly, meats conatin alot of nutrients not found in vegetables. One cannot really go with out the other unless you supplement with vitamins and minerals. Calcium is always used for many things in the body it keeps the teeth healthy and bones healthy. Milk is one of the highest sources of calcium. I myself do not drink alot of it, due to the sugars it has.
This article is really in need of help. I need to see more evidence of the claims.
Just as Peta says not to eat meat due to its unhealthy nature, they show no evidence of claims.
Thanks but I will keep on being a heathen and eating animal flesh till someone prooves to me otherwise.

answers to comments in general
most of the comments that were made reflected the ignorance that has created the 64% obesity where the mind cannot conceive the information presented . "the fool always lights the fire, he one day burns in".
the comment of slapping me, shows the consciousness of a conqueror, violent meat eater. I too was equally as ignorant in the past, where at 269 and benching 532 squating 640 and deadlifting 735, bouncing at night clubs in honolulu for 18 years, and working in prison enviroments as a therapist specializing with violent inmates. I studied "wing chun" in hawaii when Bruce Lee was considered the god of martial arts. I became addicted to adrenalin; what about the hockey and lacrosse for 10 years in Canada, the football, basketball scholarship at university?.
All this created a lethal human in a constant state of over kill. Thanks to meditation, reading and changing food habits I have corrected my poor thinking and mischevious behavior. I would suggest those who made those comments do the same.
Last here are some references. Dr. Norman Waiker, Dr. Linus Pauling, Dr. Edmond Szekley, Dr. Andrew Weil and Dr. Deepak Chopra just to skim the surface. comments on grammar are appreciated however it doesnot hide the imformation . please don't bother to threaten me until you're physically in front of me,"proof is in the pudding, come to Cancun and let's find out who you really are not your self-convinced fantasy.
I recently left Puerto Vallarta to move back to the clinic and library in Cancun Mexico, see you in Chichen Itza for the Equinox on the 21 st of this month. God bless you all, The Knopf.

This isn't a debate about the mind, meditation, etc. This was simply a a debate about animal sources of food being part of human evolution, and for the author to write that we can't properly digest these itmes is ridiculous.
If this were true, human beings would have died out thousands of years ago. What is this "the fool lights his own fire" crap. This is not the forum on some meditation/spirituality page, this is BODYBUILDING.com. BODYBUILDING.
Protein is needed for this sport and plans are an insufficient source of many vital nutrients needed not onyl for our sport but for survival. As Dorian said, look at our teeth. We were designed by nature to consume a variety of food sources, including animal flesh.

response time.
For me it's very incredible to read between the lines of the comments that have recently been posted...
For 8,500 years of recorded human history, what you put in your mouth has been equally examined for this length of time. Your teeth unlike the teeth of dogs and cats, even though we are both mammals, our human teeth were made to rip apples, not flesh.
The intestinal tract of meat eaters in the animal kingdom is like a straight muffler, certainly not like yours or mine...
All your inspirations, activities, mindful moves direct you towards your personal god. Those who have reached those spiritual levels in all cultures from Honan province of China, the birth place of the Ying and Yang, to the Buddha who breathe this wisdom in the forest, the Sufis of Islam, the Greek who created the original medical field, Hippocrates was also a frutarian and hundreds of masters over thousands of years have been giving us the same message.
All weightlifting is, and this is the biggest secret of all, all the weightlifting for 43 years shows me my connection to the cosmos through anti-gravity exercises, my relationship to the world becomes harmonious. All you really are is a regenerating organism under the constant influence of gravity and it is your lifetime relationship to gravity that the lifting gives you the gift of balance with the rest of the universe.
Einstein said "that the reason why he was a vegetarian, was that cows scream louder than carrots".
Learn to read between the lines and remove your judgementalness and open your heart to ancient information. It's been always there for you...

Interesting point of view and very much against the grain. I agree with Dorian that I would like to see more references in your article so that I may make a better judgement based on facts! But an interesting article non the less!
peace
