ISSA Trainers - A Bodybuilder Competing In A Marathon!

Would you believe that a bodybuilder/powerlifter can run a marathon? Don't ask me how, but I did it! Don't be surprised, I will tell you in details how I did it, and it will be up to you to decide whether or not you would want to compete in such event.

Hello. My name is Anthony Letayf and I am an international rugby player and amateur powerlifter. I have had the privialge of being trained by Rudy Sleiman for the past four years or so and I want to use this reply to tell all of you what a training genius he is. What rudy brings to the table is not only expertise in strength and conditioning training but the ability to establish hope, desire, dedication and persistence in an athlete. I can honestly say that before Rudy I would take up a sport for a few months get bored and then leave it all together. After starting with Rudy he wouldn't allow me to lose ambition, through his will power and old-school football coach demeanor I have become a better althlete than I ever imagined, highlited by recently being selected to the Lebanese Rugby League national team for the mediteranean cup where we beat up on Serbia and Morocco and took the cup with a win over the french. For all in Lebanon I tell you to contact Rudy because he will make you better than you ever believed you could be, and for all those outside of Lebanon either get on a plane and come over here or contact him by email or telephone cause this guy will help you live a dream you never thought could be possible. Thanks Rudy and see you on Monday.

Sorry, but this article is kind of pointless. First off I accept a person of any size can call be termed a bodybuilder. But at 200lbs before marathon training it is hardly a big jump to run a marathon. Thousands of people round the world start training for marathons at weights higher than this. This article does not suggest to me this guy is an amazing trainer.

When I was bodybuilding i ran a marathon at 240lbs. It took me 3 hrs 30 min.
