Jonathan Deprospo - Protein Intake For Serious Bodybuilders!

Using a diet that is set up like this will allow you to gain muscle while slowly lowering body fat over time. Your strength in the gym will also increase due to the change in protein levels and the increase in calorie levels.

Good article. The only thing that I tend to disagree on is stating that one should avoid fish for protein. Although the protein is digested quickly, fish is usually a good source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

The one thing I don't understand is people finding it hard to eat 6 (or more) meals a day, and being able to get the right amounts of protein. I am always looking forward to my next meal, and I mostly get protein from whole foods. I am always hungry and ready for the next meal. The only time I take a shake is after a work out, because I am not sure of any edible fast acting protein (except now that after reading the article- fish is). I prefer to eat my protein than having a shake that is gone in a matter of seconds. Now that I know fish is fast acting, I may have fish as a post work out meal. Does that sound good? I much rather eat real food than some quick drink that's never filling.

What?

<<Soy has a very high quantity of BCAA's and Glutamine....The only downside is that it does not contain high amounts of BCAA's>>

You might want to fix that to be one way or the other...
