If you dip below 8 to 10 repetitions you should decrease the weight though.

i disagree, 1-8(up to 10 for some) is what builds muscle. it makes no sense to ignore lower rep ranges. some people actually respond better to lower reps. so saying you should not go under 8 is completely false and wrong
