ISSA Trainers - Training Perspective: In The Warzone... GI Bears The Loads!

No, GI fans, it is not necessary to call the fight just yet. The cagey veteran may have given up a couple of rounds, and he may at this time have his back against the ropes... but hands are high as he continues to bear the brunt of the load! But for NOW at least, the GI has been saved by the bell!

Todd Reinhard or should I say TODD RETARD!!!

I want to smack the fool who wrote this article! It's people like you who are uneducated and retarded who cant even understant what they post, and it's a shame that BODYBUILDING.COM let's this fools post information. First who starts an article like that?

"Welcome back Science Warriors! If you recall, we were forced to leave our workhorse GI in the midst of rampant verbiage that threatens its current hard-hitting status as a means of monitoring blood glucose levels. The attacks are frequent, fast, and furious! So we parry to bide much needed recovery time; we ask our opponents “So just what do YOU propose? What are the ALTERNATIVES? What is the SOLUTION?” Bobbing and weaving, quickly and fluently, these bellicose foes are quite willing to counterpunch…hook to the body, and straight to the head!"

I BET HE DOSENT EVEN KNOW WHAT THOSE WORD MEAN!!!
NOW LET ME GIVE YOU 100% PROOF THAT Todd Reinhard IS A TODD RETARD. FIRST HE SAYS " the GI is an index that measures the rate at which blood glucose levels rise in response to a 200 calorie portion of a particular food relative to the rate at which the same amount of either raw glucose or plain white bread will raise blood glucose levels." NO YOU ARE WRONG G.I. IS MEASURED BY TAKING IN 50 GRAMS OF CARBOHYDRATES OF A PARTICULAR FOOD V.S. 50 GRAMS OF CARBOHYDRATES OF GLUCOSE OR WHITE BREAD. NOT 200 GRAMS. IF LET'S SAY I WAS MEASURING 50 GRAMS CARBS OF PASTA COMPATED TO 50 GRAMS OF GLUCOSE. I WOULD HAVE TO LOOK AT THE BOX OF PAST AND YOU SO MUCH GRAMS OF IT TO GET 50 CARBS MEANING IF 250GRAMS OF PASTA GAVE ME 50 CARBS THEN I EAT 250 GRAMS OF PASTA OF IT WAS 300 GRAMS THAT GAVE ME 50 CARBS THEN I WOULD EAT 300 GRAMS. THE REST OF THE INFO IN THE ARTICLE THE RETARD GOT FROM THE FRONT PAGE OF THIS SITE http://www.glycemicindex.com/ I DONT THINK HE EVEN LOOKED AROUND. THE SITE EVEN STATES Glycemic load = GI (%) x grams of carbohydrate per serving, YOU SEE RETARD GRAMS OF CARBS. WHAT FOOLS OPERATE ISSA? HERE IS A MORE DETAILED CITE AND EXPLANATION http://diabetes.about.com/library/me...nmendosagi.htm
The glycemic index is about the quality of the carbohydrates, not the quantity. Obviously, quantity matters too—and that is the reason for the glycemic load values—but the measurement of the glycemic index of a food is not related to portion size. It remains the same whether you eat 10 grams of it or 1000 grams. That's because to make a fair comparison tests of the glycemic indexes of food usually use 50 grams of available carbohydrate in each food. You can eat twice as many carbohydrates in a food that, for example, has a glycemic index of 50 than one that has a glycemic index of 100 and have the same blood glucose response.

THEN HE ALSO SAYS "A carrot has a very high GI value of 131. "
IF GLUCOSE AND WHITE BREAD THE HIGHEST WHICH IS G.I. OF 100 HOW DID HE GET 131 FOR CARROT? I WISH MIKE TYSON WOULD KNOCK HIM OUT FOR HIS BULL****. IT SHOULD BE HIM IN THERE GETING PUNCHED. IT'S COCKSUCKERS LIKE TODD WHO **** THINGS UP ALL THE TIME I SWEAR I WOULD SMACK HIM IF I HAD THE CHANCE YOU A DUMBASS TODD STAY OUT OF BODYBUILDING.COM

There are foods with a gi higher than 100.

The article does not state that glucose and white bread have the highest gi.

Listen if the value was established that the highest on the scale is 100 which is glucose how can you have something thats above that? No 100 is the standard same bor b.v. biological value campanies make up values of 157 etc... when the highest is 100 and that is an established value of the rating system.

The highest value wasn't established as 100. As i'm sure you'll know the gi is a percentage figure using glucose and white bread as the reference figure.

Your example using bv is totally wrong because as i'm sure you'll know bv is the efficiency which the protein is used and it's impossible for the body to use more than 100% of the protein that you consume.

Whereas with the gi it is perfectly possible for a food to effect blood glucose levels more than glucose or white bread does.
