Mike Hajoway - The Importance Of BCAA's!

Today, an athlete can research online and discover a multitude of information on different types of nutritional supplements, but there are still basic supplements that are the most important and revered, such as protein, creatine, and a multi-vitamin. Amino acids, especially Branch chain amino acids (BCAA's) are no different.

Looks like a promising article for someone new to BCAAs and interested in learning about them. I have a couple of observations--one specific and the other general.

First, the article presents the essential and non-essential amino acids in columnar form. Then, in the next paragraph, it makes a statement about the eight essential amino acids; however, when it lists them in the paragraph, it includes one called "threonine" (if I remember), which isn't in either of the columns above. This is confusing, and I was left wondering whether this was just another name for one of the acids already listed, or whether it was something else entirely.

Second--and I'm afraid this pertains to a number of the articles I find on this site--it would be GREAT if someone could proofread the articles before they're presented on the SuperSite. The proliferation of errors in spelling and grammar detract from what is probably otherwise good information. One can't escape the nagging concern that, if the article can't even get the basics of good English composition right, perhaps its information is also not entirely trustworthy either. It's simply much easier to respect written content that's well presented and sounds as though it came from an educated source.
