Cancer?

Cancer is a a result of genetic mutation which leads to uncontroled growth. The "Report" assested immune function which is often NK cells or white blood cell count. It didn't talk at all about antioxidants.

To find out if something can "prevent" cancer it would have to be a longitudinal study and with that it can only be correlational. IRB's will not approve a study that puts humans in situation to put them under a potentialy life threatening condition.

Thus far we have no clear Idea about why fruits and vegetables reduce the risk and incidence of cancer. we haven't been able to show that it is is the anti-oxidants.

And lets not over look the fact that the subject in the report were young and sedentary. The do not have the tolerance for a high volume training program. Of course the lighter work load would produce a better result!

the best way to prevent the formation of free radicals would be to stop breathing this pernicious "Oxygen" around us. It causes much havoc and destruction in our cells.
