I have been actually reading about ghrelin lately after it was brought to my attention from one of my buddies dads who had gastric bypass surgery.

It seems that after the surgery the levels of ghrelin secretion are impaired.

Anyways, congradulations on your new website, and keep up the hard work.

yeah, thats what I was saying in the article. The researchers couldn't come up with a good reson, but if ghrelin is primarily secreted by the stomach , and then you basically detach over 90% of the stomach,

Well you can put 2 and 2 together.

Why is it that bodybuilders can kick sand in the face of a 99-pound weakling, but if the weakling tries to gain weight, everybody thinks he's crazy? It's a shame that the drug companies are not using the discovery of ghrelin to help people gain weight. I'd like more information on that topic. Not only are there skinny folk out there, but there are also cancer patients, HIV+ individuals, and the elderly, all who could use assistance in gaining weight.
