what do the chains and bands do?
I like the article but I hate it when people dont fully explain why and how they suggestions work. What do the chains and bands do? Thanks to anybody that can put some light on this 4 me!

dynamic lifting- more weight at the top than the bottom
e.g., you bench 200+80chain
after unracking the bar, you're holding about 275pds (some chain deloaded onto the floor). you lower it. as you lower it, chain builds on the floor, taking weight off, such that at the bottom of the rep you're only holding around 210 (more or less). now you press it back up, weight builds gradually back up through the ROM to 275 again (lockout)
