You are right, intrinsic factor is NOT in the liver, it is in the stomach. As always, your feedback and corrections are appreciated.
Intrinsic factor is needed for oral absorption, not for injections, this is why injections are the treatment for people who lack intrinsic factor. They do need need intrinsic factor when the B12 is injected UNLESS they are trying to augment supplementation orally as well.
The blood-building properties, however, go beyond the simple B12 - I was actually hoping to update the article prior to publication, because of information I only recently found (not new information, just new to me). Since you are very knowledgeable, Eric (and I do not mean that sarcastically) can you tell me your thoughts on cytochrome P-456, a protein enzyme found in liver extract?
