bob sapp natural???

Bob Sapp has a great physique and is obviously a tremendous athlete regardless, but it is an insult when athletes like him claim to be natural. I'm sure that he does everything else right like train hard, eat well and sleep but really come on...he's about as 'natural' as Ronnie Coleman

Abs or not, that man could beat the living tar out of you. He's a fighter not a bodybuilder.

you cannot see the outline of his 6-pack clearly in that photo like the rest of us.

Sure hes not ripped, but to say he has no abs in wrong.

true... he is a fighter, not a bodybuilder... but yet this is a bodybuilding website.

I tend to agree that the article is misplaced

Natural or not.....He's huge.... And although personally I think he's pretty impressive, he does lack the cardio because of his size. You just can't carry that much weight and last long.....so he relies on power and nothing but.

I've seen him win and lose.....but when he wins, it plain knows the dude to the floor.

His punches carry so much weight, it's like getting hit with a 50 pound weight. (I'm guessing)

I think Tyson is far to fast to even get hit by his punches though especially if we are talking Boxing rules. Forget it!

He beat Kimo, but barely. His legs are weak when it comes to getting hit despite the huge size of them.

If he really wanted to be a great fighter, he would simply lose about 50 pounds and cut up his huge muscles. I'm sure he would last longer in the ring.

He's a beast, but has no cardio and no kicks. I hope he kicks Tyson's but though.

Steroids and combat

I think the article is rather sad and misleading. Bob Sapp would be a big boy naturally; however, he's physique and strength are definitely due to steroids. To begin with, there's no way that he could train frequently enough for the ring and also maintain muscle mass. Many top athletes, from wrestling to basketball, are completely aware that it's extemely difficult to put on size in weightlifting while playing a competitive sport that drains much of your recuperation time. Jesse the Body Ventura stated that Vince McMan used to get his wrestlers steroids so they could keep their weight up while on the road. Sapp is undeniably using steroids (probably several different kinds and quite a bit of it), which has ultimately allowed him to dominate some of his opponents in the way that he has. As a matter of fact, Sapp was let go out of the NFL because of suspicion of steroids.

Secondly, I would like to say that Bob Sapp is testimony to the fact that physical strength and size are often even more important than actual skill when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. Anyone with any experience in boxing, or the striking martial arts, can tell you that Sapp has little to no skill in the ring. He literally dominates his oppenents by his awesome force alone. I think to see him fight Tyson would be an interesting sight, considering that much of Tyson's victories, similar to Sapp's, were won by a mere flurry of force. Nevertheless, I think that Tyson would most likely win.
