I'm sorry, but I have to refute this claim. In fact, it has been indicated that lactic acid plays NO ROLE in muscle fatigue nor soreness. I'm not trying to rip apart the article, but just wanted to point that out. I've been involved with some of these studies first hand and our findings show no correlation what so ever between lactic acid and muscle fatigue nor soreness. In fact, our studies have indicated that lactic acid is a fuel and can only improve athletic performance.
