exercise/smoking

Michael, Thank you so much for that story. I have been at the gym for 3 years, juice, take vitamins, eat organic food and eat mostly raw fruits and vegetables, and fresh fish, all the while I was smoking a pack and a half of cigs a day. I just quit 4 weeks ago and had a slip up on the weekend. Your article eased the pain a bit and gave me the motivation to get to the gym this morning and stay away from the nasty sticks. It's nice to know that I am not the only knuckle head out there... Thanks. Hillary Brown

Thumbs up i gotta quit.....

Micheal ur story was a great one indeed.... in a way it has further inspired me to quit... ive been going to the gym now for the past year... im a big guy i wouldnt say im fit yet but im working my way towards it....and ive just only now started to cut the way i want too.... i deffinitley notice the loss of energy.. by the end of my week working out im tired... i mean really tired.... jus drained even, but ive given it much thought and i do want to see results much more then i want to have a cig.... so thanks for putten ur two cents out there.... its easier when u read about someone else who did it and who is now much happier because of it

thnx Matt

I completely agree with the tips you've given, but there is something that i have noticed about smokers though that should also be addressed. You will always be addicted even if you've quit for 10 yrs the cravings will still come and go but the issue is the first 3 months. The first month is the hardest breaking thru your smoke times ie, when you drive, after sex, when you wake up etc. the second month is reintergration to your settings and the third month is the first two months combined. If you can make it to there and then you should be good. I gave up smoking for 2 yrs i started again but i made the decision to start again. I'm still smoking but am drastically cutting back. I was at a pack and a half a weekday and 2 more on the weekend. I'm in the army so its a lot harder to kick habits when your everyday carries the monotony and repetition of a re run but im slowly cutting back just for my health and my wallets health. but you had a great article with tru blue quitting tips wanted to give kudos and thro ya some more info didnt know if you can add more to it.
