Planetmuscle.com - Acute Compartment Pain: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome!

If you are experiencing any numbness, tingling, and inability to make a fist or are frequently dropping things, then the time to have it looked at is now. Nerve compression is an extremely unforgiving condition. And CTS ranks up there with the best of them.

Unhappy CTS

nice article, it has shed some light on my current injury... although my symptoms are a little different.
i have visited my Dr and he diagnosed it as Tendonitis. i took 2 weeks off from all training and was still in pain. i was refered to get x-rays and they came out ok with no problems.

i feel no pain when i clench my fist, i only feel pain when downwards force is applied to my hand when my palms are facing up. most of the pain seems to be 3/4 way up the Ulna in my left arm. the pain remains while resistance is applied, however once i take off the resistance i get the same pain again but magnified by 10 times for about 5 seconds after resistance has stopped (which is leaving me buckled over the weights in extreme pain). this is affecting all my bicep excersises and everyone i have asked doesnt seem to know what it is.
I was hoping you may be able to point me in the right direction.
have you ever come across this sort of injury before?
what was it? and how was it treated?
is this a form of CTS?
any help will be much appreciated.

Thumbs up

Good and entertaining article! I think I must be experiencing pseudo CTS now...in other words, NO need for me to let loose those snarling surgeons out of the cage! I'll just take it easy for a week or so...it sucks a lil bit but what can you do? My case seems to have been caused by frantic piano playing in combination with equally frantic barbell curling...its a little bit annoying not knowing what of the two possible reasons really is the main reason! :-/

I'm Flee Priest BTW but I wasnt automatially logged in for some tard reason...no way I'll go through the hassle of getting a new password just to write this carp...uh..I mean crap.
