What is this nonsense? Low carb diets are unhealthy? I don't know about you, but low carb dieting has helped me more than any other "tool" in my arsenal against adipose tissue. I understand you have to strike a balance in your macronutrient profile, but brief spurts of dieting down, using a low carb method, has not been proven in any way to cause harm. In fact, I feel better on a low carb diet than on a moderate carb diet.

They didn't have a whole lot of bread back in the stone age...

Jeez...I guess they were really unhealthy and they were lucky to have procreated quickly so as to further the human race for future generations...

Your article has some strong, logical points, but I don't find it conclusive enough to state that low carb diets are unhealthy for people.

What about weight training? I didn't see mentioned anywhere the significance of resistance training to altering one's body composition? I also disagree that a diet high in complex carbs is the only way to lose weight. I do believe that a balanced diet with low to moderate (depending on the individual) carbs, adequate lean protein, and healthy fats along with resistance training and cardio are what helps one lose bodyfat.
