Thanks for the info on mountain biking. It's very difficult to find specific information on training for DH. I'm still working on it.

The majority of your work will be on the trial, working on your technique. On courses with more pedalling you might be in better condition if you had trained near your lactate threshold - intervals on a turbotrainer, or hill climbs for instance.
