I'm curious to see some opinions on this.
I tried it yesterday, and I must admit that it was a lot more strenuous than I expected it to be.

are they stupid? obviously for #2 it should be 1 second for the positive portion of the lift and 3 seconds for the negative portion since it most definately is proven to stimulate alot more muscle fiber the slower you do the negative.

I tried a couple really slow sets of db concentration curls at the end of my arm workout yesterday, seemed pretty difficult there. I noticed that by using the lighter weights with longer reps, I acquired quite the pump. Although, just because you get a pump doesn't mean it was a good workout per se.

Why not? Hormonally, you have induced a growth response... There is not just one way to train... That motto, "Lift heavy or go home." I buy it, but I don't always lift heavy... 'd like to be able to walk when I am older.
Changing things up is probably the biggest ingredient to success in bodybuilding.

I've been doing this throughout last week, and I'm enjoying it a lot. I'm getting a great pump from each set, and this is definitely different than what I was doing before.
I'll try it for the month and see if I notice any differences.

Anything different will make the body grow... I also believe muscle maturity comes from exposing the muscles to many different levels and angles of training.
