I agree, This is nothing else but overtraining. 400 - 600 grams of protein is also ridiculos. I actually don“t agree with anything written in this article, sorry...

Nice Title, Bad article

As soon as I seen how close the calf workouts were to eachother I said forget it. When I train calves they are sore for 4 days, I can't train them twice in 3 days. And as far as the Protein, if anyone eats that much protein then they will have a protein ring around their A -- --. The title got me pumped, then as I read on I was very disappointed.

Perfect example of the exponential growth in crappy article writing that has infected the bodybuilding.com website!

If someone was to eat that much protein for an extended period of time, they would develop kidney failure!

How is it a mass gain diet when you only consume 1 g carbs per pound?

Yeah i am exagerating. But increased levels of protein substance does cause increases in Circulating Serum Urea, which the kidneys have to work to remove, and in people predisposed with kidney problems may suffer from such a high protein diet.

But 400 - 600 grams of protein a day!!!! Does the author think we have nothing else to do but eat all day??

It is so bad that it is funny. Biceps and Chest? Close grip on chest day without triceps? T-nation has the best workouts, hands down. Everything else is just for girls.

there is no resaon why you can't work your chest and biceps on the same day. The only reason the 'traditional' muscle groups are worked in the combination they are is really out of conveince.

However, you have to look at it from a fatigue stand point. If you were to really put forth 100% to your chest workout, your triceps are naturally going to be fatigued and won't be able to handle as much as if you did them when they were fresh.

I purposly work odd body parts this way for that very reason. In fact, I have chest on a day of its own. The grouping of body parts isn't what makes this article bad. its everything else about it.

Nothing wrong with the lifting portion of the program! I am on the 4th week of a 6 week trial and have seen alot of positive development. I have maintained my body weight and have an overall increase of 1/4 inch. I maintain a clean diet and time my carbs toward all lift days. Cardio is done everyday and twice the amount on off lifting days.

The program as written is for mass builders. I am 298 lbs and extra pounds are not needed! The workout is great as everyday contributes to the next and every workout builds on the next. The time off is needed and plenty for rebuilding if the diet is clean.

If your overtraining, Look at your diet!

GIRLS!

What a bunch of girls! I have gotten a lot of benifits from this workout. You have to adapt any program to fit who you are! Obviously the diet going to vary. I personaly eat about 1/2 that much. Lead, Follow, or Get Out Of The Way!

The workout is not bad; especially if you cycle high and low intensity workout. I don't like barbell flies, however.

If you were really serious it could be done.

yes, because doing 120 military presses in a row is the best way to get large shoulders, this is the best program ever.

Surprised

I'm surprised so many look at this article so negatively.

To each his own I guess; I've found animalpak to be one of the best sites for no BS training, diet and philosophy.

I don't get the "great for guys on drugs" comment...seems kind of small-minded, especially for someone so successful in the sport.
