Can somebody explain to me, in laymen's terms, how you can only lose 2 pounds a week? Because I'm pretty sure I exceeded that this year.
and I just read about a Marine who lost 149 pounds in a year which definitely exceeds that.
Thanks.

I e-mailed the author about the 2 pounds a week, and this was his response:
"So can a person drop more than 2lbs of fat in a week? In some extreme cases yes. But I the article I was refering to the healthy, trained individual that just wants to shed a few vanity pounds.
Sorry if that was not made clear.

Some extreme cases?
I know I must be missing something...maybe the majority of the weight loss is actually water. But I'm still a little goofed.
thanks
