Awsome..

The article itself wasn't as useful as I expected, but the best part of the whole thing is I now I have easy acccess to a large amount of the fast food restuarants I go to. Putting links to all the sites is just great.

Thanks,
Corey T.

Some information is incorrect:

Original Recipe Sandwich WO Sauce 320 13 29 21 27 Minutes
Tender Roast Sandwich WO sauce 270 45 31 23 23 Minutes

If tha tender roast sandwich breakdown is true, then how can tha Original Recipe have MORE calories with less f/p/c ???

I've seen this article before, and although good (for tha most part) is should also be updated with each restaurants current line-up factored in.

The original recipe is a breaded version. I am not sure how they cook it, but I think it is deep fried.

The tendor roast is a plain flavored chicken breast.

We updated it with the newest info about 2 months ago.

Thanks,

Will

LOL

Will... Buddy... I think this went over your head.

Think about it:

Look at tha numbers. I agree Original Recipe is probably breaded and deep fried so it should have MORE fat then right? Tha numbers show however it has 32 grams LESS of fat than tha healthier Tender Roast. Why? Doesn't that sound screwy?

One of my favorite cheat meals, one which I have once a week or so, usually at about 8:00 p.m. on some random weeknight when I get the craving...

Double Whopper w/ extra tomatoes and mayo (!)
King Size Fry w/ 3 fry sauces
22 oz. bottle of some good beer

Fortunately I eat pretty clean most of the time, and probably don't eat quite enough calories for maintenance, which is why I'm compelled to visit the Burger King like this once a week. I'm sure I'm swilling somewhere between 1700-2000 calories when I eat this meal, most of it crap, and right before bedtime to boot. I guess as long as I see my abs and see my poundages go up I'll probably continue my weekly crap meal ritual.

Don't usually post/read the forums but I do enjoy the site!

You're a funny man. Not sure where you are getting the numbers from but from what I am reading on the fastfoods.htm, it has 8 grams of fat LESS - not 32 grams more...

Coke

Great article - three quick points:

1. As you stated, watch out for the add-ons (fries, dessert).

2. Would have liked to see beverage statistics; a diet Coke, a shake, a regular Coke, ice teas, etc. All are very different.

3. Statistics on 'supersizing' and small, medium and large servings.

Thanks!

Fast Food

This article was good. Sometimes traveling is tough and hard to pack all the meals.

How about something on national chains such as Applebee's, etc.? I hate when they don't show protein amounts.

This article credits Jack in the Box with an astounding 103g of protein in each chicken teriyaki bowl. I found this particularly hard to belive, so I looked it up.

I think they stopped serving the bowl as I could not find it on their website. I did find other sources, but none had that bowl listed at 3g fat and 103g of protein.

One source had the fat at 40g and the protein was under 30g.

http://www.fastfood.com/Nutrition/jack_in_the_box.html

My heart almost skipped a beat when I read that there was a 103g protein meal at a fast food rest with only 3g of fat...but that just sounds too good to be true doesn't it?

Why does BK get the Overall worst award?

So, why does BK's worst get the coveted 'Overall Worst' award? I'm looking at 'the Worst' selections and it seems like some info got flip flopped. Have a look:

Jack n the box

Worst Pick
Name - Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger. Calories - 1094. Total Fat - 77. Carbs - 53. Protein - 46. Treadmill Time - 94 Minutes.

Burger King

Worst Pick
Name - Original Double Whopper W/ Cheese. Calories - 1060. Total Fat - 69. Carbs - 53. Protein - 56. Treadmill Time - 97 Minutes.

I do like the article though.

Jack in the Box Chicken Teriyaki Bowl

I was so shocked and excited when I saw the stats for the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl for JIB but they're wrong . The JIB website says its actually 106 grams of carbs and 26 grams of protein. I almost went to get one lol it looked the most enticing for the calorie, fat, protein combo especially from a fast food place.

But it did inspire me to make one too . Maybe I'll try to hook up one like that this weekend...yummy chicken on a flavourful salad....I think I'll do like a chipotle thing with black beans, salsa, corn, and seasoned chicken...might be tasty and way better than these fast food options.

I'm an all or nothing person when it comes to fast food tho, its either the In N out Double Double Meal or a Carls Junior Jalapeno Burger Meal lol...why tease myself when I know I want those fries too haha
