Unhappy

I found this article to be very poor. There are much better articles, and I found this one to be flat out misinformative to some extent.

The article starts with a description of protein:

"Chemically, protein consists of nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen and oxygen via NH2 (2 hydrogen and 1 nitrogen) and a carboxyl group, COOH (one carbon, 2 oxygen 1 hydrogen). Further, it is a peptide bonded amino acid structure (via a hydroxide, OH, from one amino and hydrogen from another amino end - forming good old basic water)."

That has to be the worst attempt at defining a protein I've ever read. It appears as if the author read some basic definition of a protein and tried to put it into their own words, but seriously messed up.

Also, 90% of the population has herpes simplex 2 by the age of 50?? Where is the author getting these numbers? Today, the prevalence of herpes 2 is about 20-25%. But more importantly, arginine "can really be called a growth hormone"! Why is this? You say, "because it is one of the amino acids that produces creatine." What he heck?!

Does nobody proof read these articles? This thing should seriously be re-written. I would never recommend someone to read this for information.

"Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" by Robert M. Pirsig -- concludes on September 21

"Like those in the valley behind us, most people stand in sight of the spiritual mountains all their lives and never enter them, being content to listen to others who have been there and thus avoid the hardships."
