Knocking the dumbells against eachother like that when doing bench execises, especially flys can cause them to bounce off eachother and put a lot of stress on your shoulders, eventually injuring them badly. It's better to control the dumbells and not lift them the full way to the middle. Stop when the bumbells reach the point of being above your chest muscles. This not only prevents them hitting of eachother but will keep stress on your chest muscles making you train better.
