I have to agree with austin, very very random. Why was this article put on the main page of bodybuilding.com? Eminem is a rapper who has shown no interest in bodybuilding and probably will not in the future. Why did you make a workout program for him? Is it for all the unhealthy rappers out there or just him?

Hey there....
The assignment was given to me by the editor of bodybuilding.com. I didn't choose Eminem, it just just suggested that I make up a routine that he might have used to get in shape.

I don't PICK these stories. I AM ASSIGNED THEM by the editor of bodybuilding.com. He just gives me things to write about that he thinks people are interested in. I don't pick the articles, I write them.
I don't see what the problem is. Why are you so angry?

There's useful information all over the site.
Sometimes, people just want a little change from the ordinary, that's the point of the artcile. Just some fun stuff about Eminem and what happened to him. Listen, I get it. You don't like my article. Fine, you don't have to read it again. And you don't have to read the other articles I write. But there's no need to keep flaming me and the editor in public.

Jaime is an inspiration and i love following her progress on bb.com. Personally I feel these articles can be helpful but I am not a fan of them at all. I do realize that it is not her fault that and that she got assigned the topic so stop bashing her for that. If you don't like them that much, contact the editor.

The article is OK, though I had to read it twice to figure out whether Mr. Mathers was actually doing this or if it was just hypothetical. It turns out to be the latter, which does kind of take some of the steam out of it.
But as Jaime mentioned, she's simply doing as asked. If anyone should be taken to task, it should be the Editor of bb.com.
Jaime also said that she didn't choose Eminem as the subject, but rather that this was suggested to her. Unfortunately, I think the Editor may have picked a bit of a lightning-rod type personality and Jamie was left with the task of trying to frame an workout article around a guy who some people feel is nothing more than a bloated celebrity.
Maybe if Eminem were actually doing the workout, and we had before and after pics, the article would be more compelling.

Eminem
Obviously there are many people that are not so happy with having to see MM on the front page of BB.com. I agree it's annoying. Obviously, Jaime had no choice but to write the story. All of that having been said, I would like to say that the writing was what disturbed me the most. The praise that was heaped on him about his "music" and "talent". He is clearly not someone that anyone should look up to whether he is skinny or fat or muscular or anything else. He is a bonafied woman-beater. He also has so little class that he publicly speaks vile comments about his own mother, instead of taking the classy way out and saying that his disapproval and disappointment regarding her is a private matter. A piece about overweight celebrities would be fine if the focus were celebritities in general. This piece was clearly pushed by an adoring fan with hope of seeing their favorite piece of excrement (yes, that's MM I am talking about) get just a little skinnier.
You're still awesome Jaime, we all have bosses.

Thank you my friend!
But I don't care about Eminem just as much as the next person. I don't care if Oprah's fat, Angelina's anorexic, or MM gained a few. I'm not an adoring fan, and what they do with their bodies (regarding sex, drugs, food, etc.) doesn't matter AT ALL to me.

Why the editors did it...
They wanted you to read it. It worked. The editors did thier job.
I think we are upset b/c we "trust" BB.com to give us articles that are not "made-up". Nothing against Jaime, but it is obvious that we were to be lead astray.
After the "in depth" articles written by Brenda Kelly concerning Crieg Titus and his wife (why can't I remember her name?) BB.com has drastically slipped in my book.

Good job on the article. Too bad the editor (your boss, or whoever made you write this) didn't pick someone more interresting. I started reading the article only because it was on the front page, and was somewhat interrested until I came to "He will probably work out 2 days on, 1 day off". I had to go back and re-read... sure enough... it said "probably". haha... then I realised the article really had nothing to do with eminem actually getting back in shape...
Personally... I hope eminem never reads this. It might educate him on what he needs to do to get back in shape (if educating him is even possible). If anything, he should continue eating the way he has, and living the lifestyle he is currently living. This might prevent him from putting out any future albums.

Honestly I dont know why any one would cite wikipedia for an article. Anyone who has formal education knows that wikipedia should be used as a starting point only to gain information not a reference. For all you know I could have wrote that article on Cortisol and made the entire thing up. Just a thought....

Wow my friend that is meathead mentality at its finest. I'm sorry but if your writing an article that will be seen by thousands I would want to make sure it is 100% accurate. This is her job were talking about here. I don't think you'd hand in something at your job and say I got this information off of wikipedia...atleast I hope not.

This was a fictional account of a workout. A hypothetical, made up, possible type routine.
It wasn't accuate. The information presented in terms of what KIND of nutrition, supplement training was based on my knowledge, and I had wikipedia back me up in terms of definitions.
My job isn't on the line here.

It's not so much your job as it is your reputation as writer and provider of information for masses.

If someone could have hooked me up with Eminem's publicist, then I wouldn't have had to write a fictional account. This was more of just an article about how a guy in his mid 30's would get back in shape.
It's a fun celebrity article. You'll notice there are many of those up now, it's kind of like a theme...and they're geting a lot of positive attention I'm sorry it frustrates you that they're not "real".

Don't pay them any mind. You're the one getting the $ to write the articles. The blabber from haters is part of the package that comes along with it You shouldn't even enlighten those negative posts with a response.
