Italian Diet
Just how healthy is this diet? (I am italian, its pretty much all we eat)
Homemade pizzas, usually with some sort of salas or meat on them
Pasta in vrying shapes (spaghetti, penne, gnocchi, spagghetoni etc) with a sauce, usually vegetable based, usually with some sort of meat
Bruschetta
plenty of minestrone
and ridiculous amounts of seafood.
Anything involving oil uses Extra virgin olive oil
we don't do british food!

British? you do not need British food, you need north american food seeing as how that is where all the pro's eat and train. if you read this forum enough, you will see that you need certain foods to gain muscle mass and drop body fat the quickest. So on that note you do not have enough
-Beef
-Chicken
-Fish ( i mean tuna, salmon, not lobster or crab)
-Whole grain/whole wheat breads
-rice
-etc...
to be the best, you gotta eat and train like the best. i'm 16 and i haven't eaten with my family in 3 years.

sorry, i meant as "i live in the uk, and we don't eat that style of food much"
What i wanted to know is how healthy it is overall, we usually do have meat, but it doesnt take pride of place in the meal, e.g. its Pasta with meat, not meat with pasta
Italian eating is a family affair, we all sit down together and can spend hours over it

modern day north American, c'mon man i shouldn't have to explain things like that.
I am talking about the basics diet of foods that bodybuilders follow religiously, then once you have a baseline established you can take a look at where you might want to make improvements and over time adjust it to the way you want.
His diet is alright for a regular guy who works out, but if he wants to be a bodybuilder, power lifter, or get good results he cannot eat like that all the time.

wow good post, you really know your stuff. would you rather i said eat like a bodybuilder instead of eat the specific American bodybuilding foods.
I am not even American but if all top pro bodybuilders live there, they must have something going on.
stop nit picking stupid words in a paragraph and get a life.

"I find it insulting you ASSUME and make an ass out of you and me"
Great neg just because I negged you. You really need to stop being a arrogant ass that thinks only by eating the american way you'll suceed at being a bodybuilder. BTW, for your neg, I got a pos, so it evens out. And I really dont think i made an ass out of myself. You nitpicked at the british thing instead of just saying that he should eat more meat.
