Eating dog food
I was at the grocery store today and I noticed dog food is cheap as hell, 30 cents a can, I was wondering how much protein dog food has? the label on the dog food just said "8% crude protein"

Make sure you spread it out over the day. Be sure to have Kibbles and Bits no more then 30 minutes after your workout. Kibbles has been shown to increase the strenght of pit bulls in controlled studies.
You might want subsitute dog food with some Fancey Feast cat food in the morning as to much "crude" protein has stunted growth in young poodles.

On a serious note:

I wouldn't want my own animals eating dog food, let alone humans.

That must be some cheap stuff. The canned stuff my dogs get is over $2 a can and you can't buy it in a grocery store. (specialty only) Keep in mind the stuff I feed my boys is made from Human Grade products, not that cheap weird sh@t in the grocery store.
***I really hope you were stoned when you asked about eating it!

It wont kill you but it may make you sick untill you get used to it. I know of some homeless people in my area that eat it all the time when the shelters are full and cant find anything else to eat. Sad but true.

Go for it, only feed yourself raw bones though, cooked bones might get stuck in your throat.

I eat dog food all the time, but that's only because my dogs eat the foods I buy for myself. I feed them salmon for their coats, and I've heard of people given them flaxseed oil for their coats, too. I give them the same glucosamine and chondroitin supplements I take for their joints.
When I eat pasta, I always make more than I can eat so that they can have some. Of course it's not plain, I add some sauce or butter and cheese to it.
Dogs never had it so good...

I love this thread.
But if you want a serious answer ask a nutritionist. I dunno if your in college, but here at IU they have a nutrition department in the health center and you can talk to a nutritionist for free if you make an appointment. That’s where you'll get an answer if you are really serious.
