Confident, not cocky. A bloke who thinks he's perfect is just off-putting.

Earrings - I like earrings on a man, but it's not something I look for. I don't look at someone and think 'oh, he's not wearing earrings, I'm not interested' - that's just stupid - same with tattoos and other piercings (though if he had a bunch of Nazi tattoos I'd have second thoughts...

)

Hats - Again, not fussed. If the hat suits him, great.

Generally, as long as they're clean, presentable and not overly lechy or drunk, it's a good start. Stringing a few sentences together in an intelligent manner always helps too

Saying that, there are certain 'types' I won't really talk to. Anyone who looks chavvy or like they're trying to hard to be a 'gangsta' for a start, but then those types rarely approach me anyway. As they're notmy type, I'm not theirs

Cocky is fine if you're 17 but for a grown man it just makes you seem like an *******. As far as hats as long as it's not a ball cap it's probably okay. Never wear a ball cap unless you are under the age of 10 or play professional baseball.

I couldn't give a ****, because as long as they know what they like and are confident enough to stay true to themselves, that's good enough for me. I wouldn't be with them if I wanted to change them.

As far as clothes go, I don't care either. I practically live in jeans anyway, so whatever.

Advice to guys: Do the opposite of what every female says.

1. If you offer to buy her a drink: You become one of the many chumps who bought her a drink that night and end up sulking by the wall.

2. Being a 'gentleman' : Welcome to the friend zone buddy!

3. Earring/Hat: Don't really matter if you have them on or not as long as you avoid step 1 and 2.

I think they just sense what a loser I am and decide that they can get away with it, so they do it.

That's their choice of course, just like its mine to wise up and stop buying people drinks.

Dude...I had that happen to me quite a few times, and it sucks! One time she asked me to buy her a drink and then she full on ordered 2 double shots on my tab which I thought one was for me, but then it turns out it was for some dude that she was with and she just walked away and bottomed up with someone else.
