College students who have to cook own meals
College students who have to cook meals for bodybuilding
what are some ideas you guys have when eating for working out. do you do your own cooking. do you find it hard or easy to eat alot of food. and what types of foods do you guys eat. name them all. do you hire a chef to cook these or you do it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
most guys i know in dorms at college can't even boil water, so i'm amazed that you guys can manage. men are not good cooks.
I cook all my own stuff. I subsist on tuna sandwiches, milk, orange juice, fruit, egg whites, rice, chicken, turkey chili, black beans, refried beans, baked beans, wheat thins, etc
Lots of cheap, low fat, high protein foods. Im not as hardcore as a lot of the guys on here, but I do alright
Matt: If you live in the dorm, it might be a bit more difficult. I don't know the rules and regulations, but if you can have a microwave, a foreman grill and a steamer, you're set. There, you have all the tools you need to cook and reheat all kinds of proteins and carbs.
You ask a lot of questions, Matt, but it can be done. I know that there have been a couple articles published over at T-mag about nutrition for the college student. It would be worthwhile to look at it.
Matt mt friend it is easy, do you have a little fridge, and a microwave, if so your set. You also need a cooler bag, and some tupperwear to store your meals, in your fridge you can store fruit, water, fresh meat, eggs, milk cottage cheese. Just make it a point to prepeare your meals, tuna is an easy one. you can microwave eggs or whites, if you have access to a stove and a pot, you can boil chicken, or steam veggies or fish. just make it priority, and learn how to cook with what you got, remember this is something that you have to be able to do.
