Military Intelligence?
My son's ship is in extended dry dock, and will not be put back out to sea before his hitch is up. So in the meantime, he will be a recruiter. He has been given a position in Owatonna Minnesota, has scheduled training in Pensacola in January, etc.
The just sent him to Owatonna to find a place to live, upon arrival in Owatonna he finds that the recruiter's office is closed.
So he calls the regional recruiter, and finds that the office is permanently shut down. Good thing that he found this out BEFORE signing a lease.
Anyways, he will be stationed in Mankato instead; which works out just fine for him since that is where we moved from and a lot of his HS friends still live there.

That's two snafu's in about 18 months.
Last time he was called to interview for a postion in the White House Communications Center (a position he did not apply for, but was nominated for).
They did the initial screening, etc, then fly him out for the actuall interview; once he gets there they find out that he is a 'nuke' which makes him ineligible for the post.

 I have a nuke MOS also 55G. When I lived in Boston I was the chief concierge at the sheraton commander hotel, the only hotel in cambridge without underground parking, so whenever the Al Gore came to town the secret service took over two floors of the hotel and kicked me out. For some reason my prior MOS makes me a risk.
PS he came to town often by the way because his daughters were attending Havard at the time.
