Toast vs Rice

I was wondering if whole wheat toast is better for you than rice. Right now I eat rice with chicken but I think whole wheat toast taste better and I heard it has less carbs. thanks

It is simple enough to control carbs- cut back on portion size. Rice is usually better than bread.

ok i just bought both, the rice has 3 times as much as the whole grain wheat bread. Theres about 6 grams of protein in one serving of bread which is 2 peices and theres 4 grams of protein in the rice's serving which is half a cup. Ill stick with the bread it taste better to!

Screw bread. Even if it is whole wheat, it's processed. You should choose the whole grain brown rice because there is very little processing involved Even though the bread is whole wheat, there are some nutrients still lost just because of the processing.

Brown rice can be seasoned with many spices and herbs, and these add more nutrients. You bake the chicken, steam the rice, and have some chicken and rice. Simply delicious!

Generally speaking people consume those for the carb source not the protein.

Why not consume both? You add variety to your diet. They are both good options for a source of carbs, fiber, vitamins and minerals.

ie Tuna Salad Sandwiches on whole wheat bread. Or stuffed chicken with whole wheat rice.

But if you really want to get down to the find which ones offers more nutrients per size you would have to compare the serving size for both and compare them to similar ratios.
