I really dont think you should drop your cals. Have you been gaining? If so keep it as is. If not you aint eating enough

Agreed. I would not drop the cals unless you are gaining too much fat too quick. Monitor your progress every couple of weeks and then make adjustments to your diet. If you are not gaining up the cals.
