Cardio taken to the "Other Side"
Wonder Boy is at it again...we are back to the sled, weighted stair climbing and Farmers walk, bands stretched everywhere and now "Medicine Ball Toss a'la Wonder Boy". (this guy must lay awake at night thinking of these things)
Wanna get ripped?? Place two Lifecycles face to face with seated position about 15' from each other. 12 lb. medicine ball. Set cycles to medium and start peddling. Now toss the ball back and forth pushing from your chest. 5 min. 1 min peddle only break. Now one hand shot put toss, left hand, right hand, left hand, etc. 5 min. 1 min peddle only break. Say a prayer and now 5 min. of rapid fire toss. Lastly look for a trash can to bury your head.
This was done at end of workout which started with 15 min. on Elliptical and ten sets of ten of Olympic bar upright rows/shrugs super setting.
Is there a back door outta here?

Now that's something I've never tried. Sounds like glorious fun.
I have done the sled pulling before. I was just laughing with Brian about it the other day: "Hey, honey -- remember when we were able to pull those damn metal sleds/with weights on them around the parking lot at the old gym?" "Yep, that would kill me now." "Me too."

Baldie, I've got a 12 pound ball around here that I toss now and then; it is a decent workout and fun. As hard as it is at times, it seems someone always has a smile on their face, which I suspect is simply stuck there
I tried to bump your Hyaluronic Acid thread forward a while back, but I'm guessing you never saw it. I was trying to get some feedback or followup from you now that it's been a while.

Vince...the HA is freakin amazing. Zero knee pain and my skin is years younger. My old soda cracker elbows are now as smooth as a babys butt.
Today even Wonder Boy was spent from yesterdays cardio thrill. We did ten giant sets of behind neck militarys/side delt dumbells/farmers walk around gym with the 45s. Then off to the Saturday car show at Starbucks. I gonna have to shine the Cobra and take it by next Saturday. Way too many snobby Viper dudes. Gotta settle them down with a REAL SNAKE.
Now you know the rest of the story...bald+Cobra= Baldsnake.

It does sound like "fun."
Actually, I would like to try it.

It does sound like fun, M just rolled her eyes when I suggested it. I need to get her a spin bike soon.

Dang I must be batman cause that stuff all sounds like a hell of a workout. I don't know about the medicine ball stuff though. Don't think I'd be doing that one but I do like the weighted stair climbing and the farmers walk. The guy may have been in the military. marches with full packs are much in the norm. Farmers walk is a solid excercise and used in boxing and martial arts training. I hate them but they are solid.

Feather...you and M can do these on floor seated. She can stick with two handed and you do the shot put movement. (why does this sound Kama Sutra-ish??)

That would be dangerous for me. My aim is notoriously bad. Bowling and pool are out of the question - throwing a medicine ball more than a few feet would be a recipe for disaster...
... though maybe my aim is a weakness to put on my "to be improved" list for the next year.

Wonder Boy is my amazing workout partner. He is 47....however, I am old enough to consider him still a boy. Actually quite a man. Concrete contractor, world traveler, demolition diver, contractor to Homeland Security, rock climber, 25 year cancer survivor, concert pianist, and student of Louie Simmons style weight training. And, somehow able to juggle 3 girlfriends now for some 5 years and survive......Wonder Boy.
