Help training my girl – friend
Hello all, I have been lifting, eating, learning and patrolling the boards for quite some time now. Recently a close female friend of mine has started working with me and has taken an interest in getting fit. I go to the gym 5 days a week for weights (legs/chest/back/shoulders/arms split) during my lunch break. Then go in the afternoon for a cardio session usually 3 or 4 days a week (cutting atm). She see’s my dedication and knowledge of this lifestyle and wants me to help her out.
Why don’t I get her to see one of the personal trainers? They are useless at my gym. It’s a small old school gym with kids younger than me in bad shape giving out crappy routines.
Realistically she will go 3 days a week after work with me. Which will end up being 30 mins weights and then 30 mins cardio subject to change depending on the routine (squats can be a killer haha).
Her stats:
6ft (yeah she is a tall one)
66 – 68kg
She looks fine but has no muscle and wants to reduce her body fat. You know, tone is what the n00bs call it I believe. Since she has problems slouching due to her height I need to do some work on pulling her shoulders back too.
Can anyone here point me in the right direction for a basic split? Is training a woman to a man that much different? I wanted to do the basic compound exercises such as squats, bench, rows etc. I will avoid deadlifts until she has more experience too. I have already improved her diet and will work on that more.
So should I do:
Back/bi’s
Chest/tris
Legs
Or:
Upper body
Lower body
Or:
3 days full body
also what exercises would you recommend? Thanks in advance
