My review:
Quality: Despite the BB.com store stating that the protein is concentrate I believe that it is in fact, just like ON, predominantly a whey protein isolate. Based on the ingedient profile (on the bottle) it appears to be a very high quality product. Even though I have no adverse reaction to lactose it is nice to have a whey protein mix with a bias towards isolate. IMO great quality.
Mixing: My first serving I mixed in a glass of milk with no problems. There may have been a few very slight clumps but purely due to my laziness - I literally stirred for a few seconds.
My second serving was with water in a shaker bottle. Absolutely no foam, no clumps - an absolute breeze.
Taste: IMO this is where Dymatize scores over brands such as ON. The cafe mocha taste is out of this world. I will go as far as to say that this is THE BEST tasting protein powder I have ever had. Even though I like coffee I was initially not sold on the idea of a coffee flavored protein shake. However based on the great reviews I gave it a shot. In milk it tastes almost like a milkshake. In water it is even better - tastes like a very smooth iced cappucino. Bar none my favorite! I have tried the banana and orange dreamsicle flavors previously which also tasted extremely good.
Price: Approx. $25 for 5lbs is a very good price IMO for a very good tasting, isolate/concentrate mix.
Final thoughts: If you can tolerate some concentrate (I do not think the lactose is that high in this product based on the isolate bias) in your whey this is definately an excellent option. The taste is great, the quality is good and the price is very fair.
