all organized religions are f*cked up as hell if you actually look at them closely, but i have heard that jehova wtnesses are even more sexually restricting than christians or muslims.

Organized religions aren't "f*cked up", people are.

and people invented all the organized religions so the religions are just as f*cked up as the people who invented them.

Their belief about birthdays stem from the fact that the Bible only mentions birthdays on two occasions - one by the Pharaoh and the other by King Herod. It is seen as a selfish act not becoming of a believer of God. I fully respect their position, but must respectfully reject it, for I feel that there is nothing wrong with giving a person a gift - and why not do it on the anniversary of the day they were born? Objects and occassions are not sinful, but rather intentions and motives. The same birthday celebration that someone refuses to perform for fear that they may corrupt their children or themselves can be used to fill an individual with love, joy, and purpose.

JW stuff like that not celebrating birthdays is nothing but a bunch of useless legalism. Much like the Pharisees who persecuted Jesus.
