Worlds biggest joke
Jonah Lomu's comeback to first class rugby could have hit a roadblock as he is unlikely to win a contract in the Super 14 for next season, according to reports.
The New Zealand Herald has reported that Lomu has not been included on a list of players monitored by New Zealand's five Super 14 franchises.
The 31-year-old is playing for North Harbour but has started only one match and appeared in four matches. There have also been reports that his manager has asked for NZ$ 500 000.00 to play next year.
Lomu made his return to rugby in 2004 after a kidney transplant but has suffered a host of injuries since including a shoulder problem in Martin Johnson's testimonial match in June last year.
Lomu joined Cardiff Blues last September but he broke his ankle in April. After that he signed for North Harbour in the National Provincial Championship but has mainly made brief appearances from the bench.
"Obviously Jonah still has value commercially, as to whether he still has value as a player, that is a question for the Blues coaches to answer." said New Zealand Rugby Union chief executive Chris Moller.
