I just went to cnn.com for some news and I saw two very interesting articles. The aforementioned "testosterone kills brain cells" in dishes no less, with an undisclosed dosage. Whatever, yeah, it's been in the news how steroids turn people into rampaging antichrists but the article next to it is kind of funny. It must be election year. I says how NYC would like to ban trans fatty acids from foods. Personally I avoid these like the plague but it is a person's prerogative to eat whatever they see fit, even if it causes health problems in excess. Pretty soon it will be creatine, alcohol, guns, and probably cigarettes. Who's to say that table salt will escape the powers that be. Has anyone seen that movie Demolition Man? Big Brother will soon be your mother father AND the hand that wipes your ass.

it hasn't even passed yet, but if it does who cares. worst case scenario people eat a little more healthy. it's being voted on,and yea it's related to elections. but unless a nationwide ban occurs, it will take a long time for it to ever spread across the country. theres no way alcohol or tobacco will be banned in our lifetimes.

I think banning trans fats are a great idea. I personally think that the additions of trans fats to food are a big reason much of America is obese. The Harvard School of Public Health researches found that removing trans fats from the industrial food supply could prevent tens of thousands of heart attacks and cardiac deaths each year in the U.S.

Personally I feel that to be consistent alcohol and cigarettes should be banned as well. There is little difference between alcohol and cocaine. Both kill, both are addicitve, and both make you act like a prick. Either that or legalize everything, I like intellectual consistency in my laws.

Way to find inspiration from Demolition MAn, I am sure that is where John Stuart Mill found his inspiration when he wrote "On Liberty." You are an intellectual giant.
