I switch from coles (farmland) to homebrand recently, simply because it's the cheapest of the lot! ..hehehe...
Seem to taste the same to me, 'bulla', 'coles-farmland' & 'homebrand'
I think these guys all source it from the same manufacturer and just make their own packaging...

I tried cottage cheese before and hated it, but it's been a while so I'm trying it again. I don't know what it is about the stuff but I'm not a fan. I'll eat just about anything (just as many people on here will) maybe it's the consistency, but I can not get that stuff down easily. Besides holding my nose and chugging the stuff, anyone have any tastey ideas for it?

I hate cottage cheese. Even the idea of chewing it can make me nauseous. Just blend it with fruit or peanut butter (or whatever).

1 cup cc with 1 cup milk. I used to hate the stuff. Had to choke it down for so long, but now I really like it. After eating it everynight for a couple years to get used to it.

yeh i eat tuna straight out of the can, raw oats, cold everything, tons of strange food most people wont eat, but something about cottage cheese makes me gag though after a few bites, probably b/c i am a super taster and can taste the bitter and sourness of it much more than most people.
"With such a high density of fungiform papillae - or taste buds - supertasters therefore experience tastes much more intensely, according to the research. In addition, bitter and sweet are even further intensified for these people. "A supertaster is probably experiencing twice the sweetness as a non-taster when tasting plain table sugar," Bartoshuk remarks. "If we move on to things like coffee, it is considerably more bitter to supertasters and the same is true for tonic water."
While supertasters have been found to be very sensitive to such foods as chocolate (too sweet), and grapefruit (too bitter) because of their heightened sense of taste, they have also been found to have a lower body mass index (or overall weight). This may be explained by their heightened sense for the perception of not only sweet but also fat. "The fat in food is perceived as a touch sensation," Bartoshuk explains, "and with some of our supertaster women, heavy cream with fat added was disgusting to them and you could see they really had trouble putting it in their mouths."
i generally hate all those foods listed, i got where i could put down "good" espresso but only for the caffiene, stuff like folgers and maxwell house makes me want to puke. brocolli, eggs, cantaloupe are also very pungent to me and my natural response is just to gag, tonic water and eggs reminds me of sulfur. I'm also generally not big on sweets, just overkill for me on most rich deserts.

Cottage Cheese
I currently have 1 cup with a little pepper followed by 2 cups of 1% milk and a scoop of Micellular Matrix. This actual does fill you up if your night consists of pretty low paced activities such as course work or reading.
Oaks as for your cottage cheese being high in sodium its just the fact that the lower in fat you go the more sodium they throw in to compensate for the taste.Hope this helps!

I buy the "Breakstones" brand. It comes in a red container. Beats all the rest. I love it, tastes like cream cheese.
