Getting deeper in fellowship

What exactly are some ways to get even deeper in a relationship with God? I'm keeping Him first place in my life, consistently...our relationship has never been stronger and I believe I've hit quite a peak with Him..I'm reading my bible and other motivational Christian based reading materials as much as I can...doing all types of research in almost every form possible...I crave his love and mercy...I've never experienced anything like this in my entire life...the devil's hard at work but that's alright, Christ has already won and will continue to win...but, when it all comes down to it, is doing LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of reading and lots and lots of prayer a good way to start if your goal is to get closer to Christ? Also, I was told by God that I have the ability to be very powerful in prophecy...how and when will I be able to unleash that blessing?

With reading alone you can easily hit a sticking point in your faith. With prayer, you have a road to walk more closely with the Lord daily as you open up and allow Him to lead you into deeper stillness, silence and listening. The journey from active and discursive prayer to infused contemplation. As you grow in the grace of prayer your studies will manifest in new insights. They are synergystic with prayer being the edifice of growth.

Prophecy is about witnessing, and there are many levels. The most basic one is living the Word that grows in you through prayer and reflection by reaching out to those around you as Christ would. This is an arena where your faith is exercised, you can be tested like silver in the furnace. This is also an arena where you can find the Lord, imminent in the hearts of the poor and lowly. Especially when you are unguilded from judgment by humility. For how can you say you "love your God whom you cannot see, if you do not love your brother [or sister] whom you do see". And those same people will be sealed in your prayers as you take them in to your heart.

So prayer/contemplation leads to ministry and ministry leads to prayer. To start, find a soup kitchen or some way of reaching out to people. And listen, and wait and follow.

I've been looking for you, bud!!! How are you doing?? Thanks so much for sharing how much you have been growing in Christ, and what He has been doing in your life!! I have been thinking about that ever since we talked last spring--am glad that so much has been happening for you. Are you still in Kansas? I have changed my s/n since we last talked, but I think you will probably know who I am. Hope we can IM sometime, or even eventually get together for some good lifting and sharing--let me know if you are ever headed up to K.C. Feel free to IM or e-mail anytime, Hulk--would be great to chat with you again!!
