I didn't realize this!
Eating 5-6 meals a day increases your metabolism. I am barely 100 pounds and 5'7. Yes I am very skinny. I eat like more than 5-6 meals day. I eat every 2-3 hours now and I am going to start lifting weights this monday. If I do that, I will be more skinny. Wouldn't I? Should I still go eat 5-6 meals a day every 2-3 hours and workout? Wouldn't that increase my metabolism and make me more skinny?

lol, what a stupid question. so you're afraid that eating more will make you more skinny? this is just so perversely illogical that i'm sitting here considering whether or not grey cells actually exist in the depths of that thick cranium of yours.

if you were fat and trying to lose weight, you eat smaller meals,
since you wanna gain weight you need a **** load of nutrients, witch cannot be absorbed, all at once, you need 5-6 or more moderate to large meals
take this for exp, say about 40 grams of protein in each meal, why?
cause the body only absorbs at a single meal between 30 -40 or so grams of protein, and the rest will just be flushed out or turned to fat,
so basically if you only eat the basic 3 times a day at best youll det in 120 g of protein, and thats too few and unlikely.
same thing for carbs, fats.
calories! your body will only absorb a certain amount at each meal, and store as fat part of the rest and the other will empty itself in about 2-3 hours, if you only eat to few big meals you cannot get enough!

Try to increase the amount of food you eat at each meal. If you are then eating everything you can keep down, try to add some supplements to give your body the extra calories, protein, carbs, etc you need to gain weight and maintain the new workout program.
