UK Bomb Plot a Smokescreen?

I'm willing to bet you all quite a bit, It's all a bag of bollox.

There was never any plot to blow up a plane in the first place; or it happened ages ago, and they have been waiting weeks/months to drop the story
The only reason this has come out in the papers now, Is because the GVMT leaked it to skew the focus away from the problems with US+Israel massacring lebanese+UN

and somehow, eberyone forgets about the hundreds of lebanese civilians dying daily

hmmm. I aint saying cover up, but any time anything happens like this to either blair of bush, then a major story will drop the next day eclipsing the previous story like some kind of mkoke screen

There seems to be one of these every 4 months or so where the government catches "terrorist" that are planning a attack and every one raises hell about it. After the initial shock the evidence makes its way through and proves different that there really wasn't a plan just a bunch of propaganda. A example of this is the 7 arrested in Miama a couple months ago and the 2(one was shot on the raid) arrested in Britain not long ago.

i agree with the whole conspiracy thing, usually i'm dead against that.

but it does seem a bit strange it happens just the next day after claims for the government to be recalled are put in place

Well many people in the UK, and especially in Blair's party are going against him since he is so aligned with US Foreign Policy rather than with the rest of Europe, so it's not too farfetched really.

It's funny how your typical far left person/newspaper will commonly hint or suggest about the government making up the story, when no one in their right mind would say Israel bombing Lebanon is fiction.

You think they'd cause havoc with the airlines and arrest over 20 people just because there's a war in the middle-east and people are calling for a recall of parliament?

There is always a war in the middle-east.

There is always a call for parliament to be recalled - lots of people just dont like MPs having over 70 days off.

We've had the London bombers, the 9/11 attacks and some people still don't believe there is a real terrorist threat. I guess the intelligence services just hang around in the misc. forum all day if there's no plot to foil.

It later turned out there wasn't any fertiliser, let alone and containers, only four young muslim lads, who dissapeared from the news very shortly after.

For you Americans; Blair has achieved quite a status now of avoiding any criticism, no matter what he's done. Many of the papers calling him 'Teflon-Tony'. And this aint cos he's tough!
His ratings are at an all time low.
His policies seem a complete sham; his education bill has flopped; his provatisation of the NHS is looking crazy, his foreign policy has made us hated in most of the world, and more so in europe; and now he even seems like Bush's whipping boy after those comments the other week.

Yep its all a distraction, they hired the 24 guys and stopped the whole of London airport so people stop thinking about Lebanon. High 5 man, you are so smart, nothing gets past you does it. BTW the London rail bombings were a smoke screen for Tony Blairs run for Prime Minister, its pretty obvious I mean why else would they blow up trains... der.
