Going away to college... what should I do to my dorm room?

Yep here's some advice. Move out of the dorms as soon as you can, but in the mean time make sure everything you own is insured. Theft is a common problem when living in a dorm with other people who don't have the sense to at least lock the door when they leave. Not to mention your roomates taking stuff from you. Good luck though.

Put a protective cover over your keyboard. My roomate got ****-faced last year doing century club. He passed out in his bed (I was asleep). At some point he got up to take a piss. Instead of heading out our door to the bathroom, he walks over to my desk, pulls out the drawer where my keyboard is sitting, and proceeds to take a leak all over my keyboard (I didn't wake up). The next morning I woke up and saw that keyboard was soaking wet. I was able to put two and two together when I looked over and saw that my roomate had also wet his bed later on that night. Needless to say, my keyboard was ruined and I had to wait two weeks before I go off campus to get a new one. The moral of the story is **** will get destroyed in the dorms. Save all of your pimping for when you live off-campus and can control who you live with and who comes over to your pad. Besides, nobody cares whether you have a nice dorm-room. Women will hear the word "dorm" and will instantly lose interest.

I guess i was lucky in the dorms, i never had anything broken before. The only thing that got stolen was 3 skunked 2 month old beers in my fridge that i never even paid for. It does take balls to go into someone's room and take **** out of their fridge though, i would have cracked some skulls if i saw who did it at the time.

The ugmo girls who lived across the hall didn't seem to mind that we all lived in the dorms, but all the hottie 1st year girls dated 2nd and 3rd guys who lived off-campus. The allure of privacy (probably for boning down) and free access to alcohol without the paranoia of getting caught drove all the hot chicks off-campus. I anticipate things to be much better when classes start in a few weeks now that I live in an apartment off campus.

yea a lot of the hot girls dated guys off campus(well our off campus is really like on campus) who had houses or apartments, but not all. there were plenty of girls to go around if you had any kind of game at all.

a plasma tv and surround system, put the bed on the sides so you can fit a ping pong table fold it leave it on the side this works well for beer pong as well.. lets c what else .. can't think of anything right now maybe a cool fish tank ..
