Summary:
For the past few years or so, I have been living off of Costco Protein (hey, its cheap!) and Ergopharm I-Pro Protein (the cherry stuff.....it was extremely cheap earlier this year so I bought 12 jugs).
My wife, who just gave birth to our first child in April, was planning on doing a high protein diet and mentioned that she wanted to try my whey protein. She couldn't stomach the vanilla and chocolate costco stuff, and the I-pro cherry didn't do it for her either. In fact, I had to finish the shakes just so they didn't go to waste!!!!
My supply is running low and I am to the point where I have some 'spare' money to try out different flavors. In combination with trying to find a good tasting whey protein for my wife, I decided it was time to spread my wings and give some of flavors of the world a try! I purchase cappuccino latte and fuzzy navel (which there is a seperate review available).
Taste: 10
Honestly? Incredible. If you enjoy cappuccino's, you will be PLEASANTLY surprised how the taste of this protein closely resembles the real thing.
Texture: 10
No clumping and very light.
Mixability: 10
Put a scoop in a shaker, add some ice, and voila: you have a delicious cappuccino!! This stuff mixes extremely well!! Once it is mixed, the shake slightly resembles a diet coke in color and has a, surprisingly, 'clear' look to it (not like the clouded look of most proteins).
Wife Approval Test: Passed with Flying Colors
My wife mixed a shake up and was hesitant at first. I didn't bother telling her my thoughts on the taste, just so I didn't sway her decision. Seriously, she LOVED it. L - O - V - E - D it!
Overall Rating: 10
I feel kinda 'lame' giving all 10's, but seriously, this stuff is that good. If you do not enjoy the flavor of cappuccinos, I would definitely avoid this. However, if you love the taste this stuff is a must because it tastes almost exactly like the real thing!

Thanks for the input. Any glaring differences between Dymatize Cafe Mocha and the above reviewed product? Never tried it, however, my wife thoroughly enjoys cappuccino latte and ever since she has been on her high-protein diet she has dropped 8 pounds (currently 131lb, down from 139lb).
Plus, it looks like Dymatize Cafe Mocha costs quite a bit less per serving than the syntrax brand.

I will be more than happy to test your whole protein line (or a few others) and give reviews if you want. My address is...jk!!!
Hopefully with my next paycheck I will be able to order a few additional flavors and post some reviews. Prior to Cappuccino Latte, I truely believed that I would never thoroughly enjoy a protein shake (comparible to eating chicken everyday: after a period of time, it just gets hard to get down). This flavor really opened my eyes!

Hard to do an exact comparison with Starbucks cappacino. But the most important element, in my opinion, in doing a direct comparison like this is perspective. Seriously, this is a whey protein that has only 90 calories and 20ish gram of protein AND it tastes deliciously close to the real thing.
Keep in mind that after drinking enough of these things on a consistent basis, the taste doesn't get better. What I am trying to say is that you need to make sure you have some other flavors on hand so that you don't get sick of this flavor.
Variety is the spice of life and whey protein flavors is a good example. Vary the flavors and that will minimize the chances of getting sick of one.
EDIT: I just wish more online supplement stores would carry this stuff!!! I would hate to see such a wonderful flavor go away.

Oh no! Please not another great flavor from syntrax! I have 5 tubs of nectar and 2 bags of Matrix in my pantry right now.
I've tried twisted cherry, strawberry kiwi, fuzzy navel and today....caribbean cooler nectar. I add frozen fruit to my nectar drinks for PW. Today I threw 1 frozen banana, one medium size frozen orange, and one scoop of CC in the blender. It turned out rich and creamy. I swear, it tasted exactly like a Pina Colada!

I know the feeling when I open my cupboard it is nothing but Nectar bottles. I will have to try the smoothie idea thanks for the tip.

I gotta get me some of this. Can someone tell me if it is anything like Starbucks? I love that stuff. IF it is like this then I will drink it all day long.

It is pretty close I think, you can even mix it with some warm water or milk for a warm drink. It is a staple for my morining in the winter time.
