Green tea pills just have a lot of caffeine. About the only benefit I could see to taking them would be for that little energy boost. 80mg of caffeine is aprx the equivalent of about 1 cup of coffee and 2 cups is the max you should consume in a day to get any metabolism boosting benefit. After that, it starts to inhibit fat loss. Check the label to see how much caffeine is in each pill.
Drinking the tea would be better since it has antioxidants and such. Sometimes I take caffeine pills in the morning or before a workout if I'm really sluggish, but I try to avoid stimulants for the most part.
