Sprints or jogging

As of wright know im looking to cut and also to get faster.What burn more calories/fat jogging for 45min or doing some sort of sprints for 45min say 15 yard sprints?

Sprints are probably the most efficient thing you could do. I highly doubt you could run sprints for 45 mins...anyhow, you only need about 15 mins of sprints for them to be worthwhile. You can add longer steady-state cardio if you want but I prefer to get mine done quickly (e.g. HIIT on stationary bike or sprinting).

For sprinting I usually would sprint half a block, walk the rest, sprint, rest, for about 10 intervals. Go 100% balls to the wall on the sprint parts and you'll be in great shape.

Sprints, or HIIT (search for lots of topics on the subject) is a great way to both cut (fat and water) and get faster at the same time. I like to mix HIIT with low-moderate cardio. Here's what I typically do:

Go to track or football field.
Run slow/moderate warmup for at least 15 minutes.
HIIT: Run as fast as I can for 30 seconds, walk for 30 seconds
Repeat for 4-6 intervals
Run moderate/slow warmdown for 10-15 minutes.

The result is a 30+ minute workout that really kicks my butt. If you like to end your workouts on a high note, do a couple intervals at the end too.

The intervals will help your body learn to run fast, and help cut too.
