SYNTRAX Nectar Lemon Tea review by HalleluYAH
SYNTRAX Nectar Lemon Tea
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e114/HalleluYAH/naturals_shop.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>
What's In It?
Supplement Facts:
Serving Size: 1 level scoop
Servings Per Container: 36
Amount Per Serving:
Calories 90
-Calories from Fat 0
Total Fat 0
-Saturated Fat 0
Cholesterol <5g 1%
Total Carbs 0g
-Dietary Fiber 0g
-Sugars 0g
Protein 23g 45%
Calcium 160mg 16%
Phosphorus 75mg 8%
Magnesium 20mg 5%
Sodium 60mg 3%
Potassium 120mg 3%
Ingredients:
Promina ultrafiltered and undenatured whey protein isolate (includes beta lactoglobulin, alpha lactoalbumin, glycomacropeptides, immunoglobulin, bovine serum albumin, protease peptone, lactoferrin, lacto peroxidase), citrix acid, natural and artificial flavors, lecithin, aspartame, acesulfame-k, FD&C yellow #5, FD&C blue #1.
The Review:
Ingredients: SYNTRAX Nectar includes 23g of high quality protiens including ultrafiltered and undenatured whey protein isolate, and bovine serum albumin. Of course ultrafiltered and undenatures whey are the Rolls Royce of pre and post WO proteins, and many believe serum albumin deserves more credit for it's role in the functional properties of whey protien. Definitely a solid formulation.
Sub-Rating: 9/10
Mixability: The mixability was consistent with most WPI's. A little foamy, yet good, especially since it's supposed to be iced tea.
Sub-Rating: 8/10
Texture: Nothing special to note. Again, this was consistent with most WPI's.
Sub-Rating: 8/10
Taste: This is where the review gets good. The flavor brought flashbacks of when I was twelve years old. See, when I was younger, my borther and I drank Nestea Iced Tea almost exclusively during summertime. When I took my first sip of Nectar Lemon Tea, I was very pleasantly suprised, as it tasted EXACTLY like the Nestea we drank. It is very sweet, and remarkably so, being as how there are 0g of carb/sugars. Wonderful product indeed. I will definitely buy and recommend to others. I am saving a sample pack of this to have my brother try next weekend.
Sub-Rating: 10/10
Cost: At it's current price here: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/syn/nectar.html this is a good buy for 2.1lbs of WPI + bovine albumin. It is comparably priced with like products. Plus with the flavor it provides, and the fact is has such a great flavor with zero carbs/sugars, IMO this is definitely worth the money.
Sub-Rating: 9/10
Overall Product Rating: 9/10

Its good stuff I like the fact that you can get yer protein and quench thirst at the same time. Not so easy to do with the standard choc and van IMO

This is my favorite flavor and my princess of an ex-girlfriend use to love it as well which is saying a lot. I would have her buy it and would end up using 3/4 of the tub myself. She just wanted to give the appearance of living a healthy lifestyle because to anyone from the Gold Coast, appearances are everything.

Sadly, I ordered Lemonade a while back and was sent Lemon Tea instead At first I thought it was ok but then I got sick of it fast. I'm not a fan of tea.

I would like to see SYNTRAX come out with a variety pack. That way we could mix things up, and try all the flavors at the same time.

I also want to say that Lemon tea doesn't have aspartame in it, it has Sucralose in it.

Good review. I have been wondering about this since I heard about it the first time. I must say the idea of it doesn't sound good but from what you guys are saying it must be good.

Lemon Tea is amazing. My favorite flavor, followed close second by Fuzzy Navel.
The pina coloda flavor however, is not very good at all IMO.

Are you saying you would want to be able to buy smaller containers in like a three pack or four pack I think that would be cool to have 4 bottles together but make them 1/2 each that way you would still get two pounds.

perhaps. or, possibly a 15 pack of the 11g WPI, individually wrapped, sample packets. this way, we could sample 3 packs of 5 different flavors, then decide which we would most like to purchase a full 2lb tub of. what's more, I like taking the sample packets when I travel.

in my experience, WPI does not mix well in water with a spoon. however, when shaked vigorously in a water bottle, this may be different. I recommend getting a Blender Bottle; they rock!

I would recommend you take a few drinks out of the bottle so you have room to shake it up and also if it is the 16 ounce bottle you might want to use more than one scoop or it may taste watered down but yes I have done it before and it does mix in a Ozarka water bottle.

fine review boss. I will be trying all the flavors and of course will report on that. Glad the Tes flavor was to your liking. Most tes flavored drinks are very bad. I am from the south and we KNOW how sweet tea should taste. lol

Ever notice that up north it's Iced tea, but down south it's sweet tea? I gotta agree with you John. Bo Jangles has some awesome tea...I just can't find any here in Atlanta.
