I Still Don't Understand the Difference. Cute/Hot/Good Looking/Handsome
Different girls have said these to me in my lifetime and still to this day I can't tell the difference. I suppose hot means more sexy? Cute means good looking but in a nice, clean way? And what does gorgeous mean? Is that for a pretty boy type or is it more of a british thing? Damn I feel like an idiot posting this.
Will someone please explain this to my dumbass? I would like to know the difference. Generally I get the following:
Hot - Younger girls
Handsome- Older women
Good Looking - Girls my age and older women
Cute - Younger girls, girls my own age and older women

I think it's something like this:
Hot - Used mostly by younger girls true. Used to describe someone with an above average face, in other words, pretty.
Handsome - Not neccesirly pretty in the face, but more alnog the lines of tall and/or well built with a decent face.
Good Looking - Above average face but not as much as "hot".
Cute - Meh, cute face I geuss.

Cute for a girl is my number one.. but of course I'll use beautiful when actually telling a girl what I think of them, always... But if I say a girl is cute, thats perfect relationship material for me..
hot is, i'd bang you, but I'd never pursue a relationship, as I doubt you'd be smart enough to tie your own shoes..
Good looking for me is.. above average, slightly... slightly above average in most areas....
and I don't often call girls handsome
Those are my explanations for girls when i use the words..

Yea, I understand that, douche bag. Why the harshness.. i was stating my opinion, on what "I" mean when I used those words... Not helpful at all? Well I think it may have been, so how about you add something constructive, or keep your asinine comments to youself.

Who gives a **** what "you" mean when using those names. He asked us what women meant, not men. Are you a woman? sound like one actually, my apologies.

oooh.. keyboard warrior strikes again! your e-peen must be swelling by now..
So you've sat down with a women and asked her what she meant on all these words? And did it ever occur to you that they all may use them differently... Maybe?
My opinions on cute/hot/good looking, could be the exact same as another females. Just as your opinion on what a girl might mean by each one could to.
keep tryin tho all-star

Lol, keyboard warrior. This is coming from some 19 yr old clown who thinks he's the next Dr Phil with all the **** and nonsensical advice he posts on here.
Do me, and the rest of this board a favour, head back to the teen section where they'll actually take your advice seriously.

Hot - Very attractive, they will use this if they are trendy
Handsome- This is formal, it means the same thing, but they don't want to offend you by saying cute, nor to 'come onto you' by saying hot
Good Looking - This is formal as well, but an attempt not to be stuffy or stodgy like 'handsome'
Cute - This one's meaning varies, it is nearly always a way of saying the others, but this is simply the preferred word in her female social circle
Much of the hot/cute is regional. There is rarely a difference, contrary to men's belief, between cute and hot. Most girls won't call you cute if they're aware of the stigma men place on it, so they'll say hot, since this is the preferred word amongst men for girls that are "doable."
Generally when a girl calls you cute, it is simply that she's not aware of the stigma, not that she doesn't think you're "hot."
Some girls will use hot simply because that's the word that men use to be more sexual about girls- it's her way of coming onto you. It's a more... erm... hoho-ish term, the girls who use it are more likely to be 'easy'.
Girls who use cute are girls who tend to be more of the looking for a relationship type and less of the 'men can screw around, so can I' types.

I think this is the conclusion I have come to after questioning girls who found me attractive. I think it basically breaks down to this:
Hot: Almost always used by the sluttier girls or those whom are admiring a sexy male physique. Teen girls seem to favour this one as it has sexual connotations. After all, teen girls get tossed around like a hockey puck (yes I am Canadian) .
Good Looking: They find you attractive, you have nice overall features. A nicer way of saying "hot."
Cute: A female word for good looking, attractive, handsome in a relationship sort of way.
Handsome: Manly good looks. Husband material as someone said. Nice features on a masculine face.

Ok. I ask the question because in French there's just one definition for hot like "the weather is hot" or "my coffee is hot", etc... So, in French if you say "she's hot" it means that the girl is a real slut and that everybody can fuk her. It's like "she's the biggest b*tch ever " !!
If you come to France, don't tell to a girl "tu es chaude" !!
Or you will be a lot od troubles !!
