Extremely high in fat since it's all mostly skin.

Even without the skin 40% of the calories are fat. Which is about twice the amount of fat in a chicken breast.

But if it fits in your calories and macronutrient breakdown for the day, I don't have a problem with it. I roast a whole chicken and use all the meat at least once a week while on a balanced diet.

Really?

I know that if you remove the skin from KFC/Popeye's, the fat will still be high due to it being saturated in grease from the beginning. I'm not sure of the process of chicken wings without the skin, being grilled. 40%~ seems a bit high, but you could be totally correct!

Keep in mind that if you have *food A* and it weighs 100 grams and it is 40 grams carbs, 40 grams of protein, and 20 grams of fat it can be stated that it is 80% non-fat. However, 36% of the calories come from fat since each gram of fat contains 9 calories while each gram of carb/protein has 4 calories. It is important to look at the wording of things and in what context it is being used.

The bag-o-wings from wal mart has likely been processed with hydrogenated oils to make them "like" fried wings. You might want to make sure they're clean.

Regardless, you need some fat, you might as well eat some dark meat here and there. Just avoid the skin.(which would taste crappy grilled anyway)
