She was probably just nervous - not relaxed. Combine that with naturally tight (which is a good thing) and it can sometimes be hard to get even one finger in. If you're going to have sex, make sure she really wants it, get her really relaxed and wet first, then start slowly. Make sure you have some lube handy just in case. She was not ready and not relaxed.

She may also have a problem, there are supplements that she can take that will increase the blood flow there, which will allow those muscles to relax. It's a more common problem than people realize.
