Nearly broke my neck two days before my wedding!!

As you all know bamagirl and I are getting married tomorrow. WELLLLL, yesterday we are at the water park, as we are every sunday, with two of her bridesmaids and one of the girls we have been dating for a while.

Late in the afternoon, after much vodka and a spiked watermelon, bamagirl decides she wants to ride the scary water rides. She never rides them sober as they terrify her. So here we are, riding the 60' tall half pipe and my dumb ass decides to show off - going off the half pipe with no hands on the vinyl doughnut. At the bottom of the U is about 6" of water that f'cking stopped my doughnut instantly and I continued on (airborne, backward and upside down) at a very fast rate of speed. I was moving horizontally and impacted the wall of the half pipe as it comes back up with my head and right shoulder. Of course I hopped right up and told everyone I was fine (even though I felt like Mike Tyson had hit me) and continued on without a second thought about it.

Twenty minutes later, I knew I was hurt because I could no longer turn my head to the right without excruciating pain. So this morning when I couldn't get out of the bed without help I knew I was heading to the doctor. The xrays showed a small fracture in the second vertebrae down from my skull. The weirdest thing is they xray through your widely open mouth to see those two highest bone segments in your spine. Then I had to go straight to the hospital for a ct scan which verified that I do have a hairline fracture from compression. It is not anything serious - just a crack in the protrusion that looks like a thumb and fits into a hole on the next higher vertebrae on the rear of the neck.

Man do I ever look great with my nifty new darth vader neck and head immobilization device!! DON'T ASK FOR PICS BECAUSE I WILL NOT LET ANYONE MAKE ANY. Just ask bamagirl why she frieked completely the f'ck out LOL.

This is hilarious to me because the night before my first wedding I got into a fight with a guy that twice my size and even though I won, it looked like I lost. Hell I had to bite off half of his nose to get loose from that overgrown ape at one point. I told bamagirl that this was much better, all I have to do is take off my brace for photos and the ceremony and no will be the wiser. At least I don't have huge shiners and a bulbous, swelled all to hell nose this time.

My wife finds women attractive and is turned off by other men - I look like a lumberjack, so it doesn't really make sense that we are together...let alone the high sex frequency.
